Test And Upscreening
Piconics, Inc. test laboratory is designed and equipped to provide a complete spectrum of commercial and military quality testing, including basic environmental tests to determine resistance to deleterious effects of natural elements. The purpose of this laboratory is to obtain test results equivalent to actual service conditions existing in the field and to perform tests as required be customer specifications.
Our Test Laboratory is approved by the DSCC to conduct qualification testing to MIL- PRF 83446 & MIL-PRF-15305. Capabilities also include up screening to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K for Space Level Applications. All parts manufactured by Piconics are capable of up-screening per customer SCD’s or other designated test programs, including electrical parameter testing.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of United States government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List.Piconics, Inc. has been issued an ITAR registration by the US State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Registration is renewed annually.
RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances and regulates the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic equipment. RoHS mostly originated out of concern about the use of lead in manufacturing but also addresses the use of Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavelent Chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
Piconics products are RoHS compliant and can be purchased with a lead free alternative.
Piconics has successfully attained Qualified Products List (QPL) status for many of our leaded and chip inductors. Piconics currently has products qualifies to Military Performance Specifications MIL-PRF-15305 (“General Specification for Coils, Electrical, Fixed and Variable, Radio Frequency”) and MIL-PRF-83446 (“General Specifications for Coils, Chip, Fixed and Variable”) and Military Standards MS53229 through MS53234.
Piconics also offers Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products for applications which do not require full Military compliance.
